Trish and Sharon Evenstad (Mother and Daughter in Law) started Evenstad Tax Service, LLP in 2006. Sharon retired in the beginning of 2018 after 50 years in the tax industry.
Trish is a degreed accountant. She earned her status as an Enrolled Agent in 2011. She is very active with the Wisconsin Society of Enrolled Agents and National Association of Enrolled Agents. She is currently serving on the board of directors for both organizations. She has been quoted in articles published by Kiplinger’s and many others. Her attention to detail and knowledge of tax law is comforting to clients and allows Evenstad Tax & Financial Services, Inc. to maintain its premier level service.
Eric Evenstad became a partner in the business when his Mom retired. In 2019 we changed our name to Evenstad Tax & Financial Services, Inc. when Eric became active in the business.
Tasha Spears joined the office in October of 2016 as a tax preparer and accountant. She has been a great addition to our growing office. She obtained her accounting degree before coming to work with Evenstad Tax.
An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. They must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.
Enrolled agents have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.
